Baldwin Gulch Drainageway

Baldwin Gulch Drainageway
City: Town of Parker
Year: 2008
Project Description:

Kiowa Engineering prepared designs for the Baldwin Gulch improvements in Parker, Colorado from Parker Road to the confluence with Cherry Creek.  The improvements along Baldwin Gulch included construction of sculpted concrete drop structures, channel bank protection and a new box culvert at Twenty Mile road.

The work in the drainageway corridor also involved utility relocation, trail construction, landscaping, permitting, and construction management services.  Sculpted concrete drops were used to create simulated rock outcrops that fit the nature of the stream.  Urban Drainage and Flood Control District accepted the improvements to Baldwin Gulch into their maintenance program.
